Terms & Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply when you book any of my services through this website or directly with me. By sending an enquiry, accepting a proposal or making a payment, you agree to them. Where we agree something different in writing for your engagement, what we agree in writing takes priority.

How I work with everyone

Prices and payment

The price that applies to you will always be confirmed before you book, and that confirmed price is the one you pay. From time to time I offer founding or introductory prices for a limited number of clients. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, fees are paid in advance through the secure payment link I send you.

Online delivery

All of my services are delivered online, by video call, email and shared documents, so it makes no difference where in the world you are.

What I do and do not do

I provide strategy, direction and finished written copy. I do not build websites, manage social media accounts, post on your behalf or book suppliers for you. Where something needs building, I give you a clear brief so that whoever builds it for you knows exactly what to make.

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss and everything I review stays confidential and is not shared with anyone else. I will only ever use your words or any part of your presence in my own marketing if you have given me your permission first.

Your documents

Reports, documents and copy I write for you are yours to use in your business as you wish. My methods, frameworks and templates remain my own.

Digital Presence Review

The service

The Digital Presence Review is a one-off diagnostic. It includes a review of every link you send me that a client might find you through, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Substack, your website and any other platforms or pages you use to attract clients, along with your search results and video presence, a short call, and a written report identifying where your presence and your expertise have drifted apart, with direction on what to change first.

How it works

Cancellations and rescheduling

Once you have booked and paid, I begin preparing for your review by researching your public presence ahead of our call. Because of that preparation, the following applies.

What the Review does not include

The Review tells you what to change and why. It does not include making the changes for you. If you would like to go further, Strategic Alignment is the next step, and there is never any obligation to take it.

Strategic Alignment

The service

Strategic Alignment is a one-to-one engagement of six weeks. It usually includes up to three calls of up to 90 minutes each, research into your market, and a written document setting out your golden thread (who you are for, what you do and do not do, your rates and the conditions any opportunity has to meet), together with a presence plan, finished copy and briefs for anything that needs building. We then work through one live decision together using your golden thread.

Timing

The work is planned over six weeks, and the engagement closes completely eight weeks after our first call. The extra two weeks allow for holidays and busy diaries. Any calls, drafts or support not used by the end of week eight lapse and are not carried forward or refunded, so please plan to share information and respond to drafts promptly. After the engagement closes, further support is available through Strategic Partner or a paid follow-up call.

Payment and Review credit

The fee is confirmed in writing before we begin. If you have already had a Digital Presence Review, the fee you paid for it is credited against Strategic Alignment.

Calls, cancellations and refunds

Strategic Partner

The service

As your Strategic Partner, I work alongside you on an ongoing monthly basis. What is included each month, such as strategy sessions, reviewing opportunities and documents before they go public, and access to me between sessions, is agreed with you in writing before we start. I take on a small number of Strategic Partner clients at any one time.

Payment

The monthly fee is agreed in writing and paid in advance at the start of each month.

Ending the arrangement

Either of us can end the arrangement by giving one month's notice in writing. Any time included in a month that you do not use does not carry over to the next month, unless we agree otherwise.

The free Presence Check

The Presence Check on this website is a free self-assessment. Your score and guide are general and based only on your own answers, and they are not a substitute for a full review. How your details are collected and used is explained in my privacy policy.

No guaranteed outcomes

My work reflects my professional judgement on how you and your business are likely to be perceived and the strategic choices available to you. I cannot guarantee specific business outcomes, such as more clients, particular appointments or higher fees, as a result of acting on it. Decisions about your business remain yours.

Not regulated advice

My services are strategic and business advice. They are not legal, financial, tax or regulated professional advice, and where you need that kind of advice you should speak to a suitably qualified professional.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of my recommendations, and my total liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the fees you have paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you book is the one that applies to your booking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
